Here to help you create a balanced, restriction-free relationship with food
Being sexually assaulted is the best thing to ever happen to me
It sounds weird, I know. But the trauma of sexual assault brought me to my faith and pushed me to use the gym and my nutrition as more than just a physical outlet, but as a mental and emotional outlet too.
From there, the desire to be leaner and feel better about my body image paired with my inquisitive, “go big or go home” mentality lead me to compete in bikini competitions. Which, trophies aside, didn’t have the outcome I was hoping for.
I was left with a binge-eating disorder and a hormonal imbalance caused by competitions, long-term restriction, and chronic stress. I felt lost, hopeless, tired of feeling self-conscious and critical about my body, and envious of all the people I saw on social media eating treats "guilt-free"
Through much trial & error and the help of a naturopathic doctor, I've learned how to heal, listen to, and nourish my body, improve my body image, and create a healthy, balanced relationship with food.
And now, I’m using those experiences combined with my education in exercise & sport science and certifications in fitness, nutrition, & weight loss to help you navigate and balance the fine line of mental & physical health, create sustainable, enjoyable habits, and make “tastes too good to be healthy” recipes.
And I strive to do so while traveling across the U.S. with my baseball playing husband and sharing that part of our life to show that eating well, taking care of yourself, and enjoying life IS attainable!
