Protein Coffee

 

 

Everybody loves coffee. Chances are, a lot of people like black coffee plus sugar, syrups, and those enticing holiday creamers- you know what I’m talking about- pumpkin spice, peppermint mocha, all that.

 

Unfortunately, the ingredients that make coffee taste so good are also the ingredients that aren't the best for our health. It may seem like everything is bad for us nowadays, but we CAN have our cake and eat it too, with a little bit of creativity.

Ingredients:

 

- 1 cup of hot, black coffee

- 1 scoop of protein powder

- 2-3 oz. of water

 

Instructions:

 

1.) Mix the water with 1 scoop of protein powder

2.) Pour half of the protein (or more depending on how strong you want the flavor) into a cup of hot coffee

TIPS

 

It’s as simple as that! You end up with a protein filled drink that tastes like a mix of coffee and hot chocolate. A perfect way to enjoy coffee without adding extra sugar and fat to our day to day diets.

 

 

P.S. My favorite flavors for protein are either chocolate or cookies and cream and the best coffee to mix it with (in my opinion) is Texas Truffle coffee from World Market or Chocolate Glazed Donut coffee from Dunkin Donuts!
